Home Events Equitable Data Use to Examine and Refine Implementation of Innovative Practices in Maine
Northeast & Islands | April 11, 2024 - May 28, 2024
During this session, participants will learn to engage with data in ways that fit their context and culture to help meet the partnership goal of addressing challenges related to ensuring equitable learning opportunities for all Maine learners. They will review samples of different types of assessments—such as student work artifacts, ongoing checks for understanding, observations, and interviews—and consider how this data can be used to make equity-focused decisions in classrooms and schools. Participants will use a checklist to reflect on how data that they already collect can be used more equitably, and to determine what additional types of assessments are important to administer in their context.
This session will be delivered four times across different regions in Maine on the following dates: April 11, April 25, and May 28. The final session is TBD.
